To speak openly: What you should know about false press passes

Marc Greene always thought that his IPA press pass, ordered from the USA, would be accepted by manufacturers, service providers, trade fair and event organisers, the police and the fire services. Yet at his first real attempt to use his new press pass he was bitterly disappointed... Do not be tricked by offers from shady internet sellers.

Don’t touch those offers. However, if you want to get your hands on an illegal press pass via the USA; then you are in the right hands with the company International Press Association. This so-called organisation for journalists is nothing more than a press pass factory that sell useless press cards and resides at a – what else – post office box address. Quite a few journalists have already been tricked by the International Press Association and became bitterly disappointed. Useless press passes were palmed off to trusting people for a lot of money by this firm.

The only interest these backers have is to sell press passes for too much money. The IPA organisation operates from the USA and cannot be caught in Europe. If you read the texts on their pages closely, you will soon recognise the bluff that is behind the whole offer and hopefully not invest a single penny in invalid pseudo press passes.

The rejection of your accreditation from the press offices responsible is guaranteed:

With an IPA press pass you will get little more than a weary smile if you want to attend e. g. a trade fair, press conference or any other press-relevant event. The IPA passes are completely unknown in many areas of Europe and the USA, and those places that have already had contact with "IPA journalists" have, in many cases, now placed the press passes from this dubious company on the blacklist – not to mention the criminal prosecutors, who are also occupied with the holders of fake IPA press passes.

Okay: for those who never intended, or still do not intend to become journalists, the IPA may well be an emergency solution. After all, these exorbitantly expensive passes can obtained in the wink of an eye with cash. But we do not recommend trying to visit events with it. People who have no idea about press, journalism and so on might perhaps be impressed. But not professionals.
